The Coronavirus pandemic is causing havoc in all our lives at the moment but what about the charities and organisations that rely on public fundraising to maintain their care services?  Martin House is such a charity, with an annual running cost of around £9 million to provide their vital services to families, they need our help.

Thank you for your continued support - ACO

Martin House is a charity that provides family-led care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions, supporting families across all of Yorkshire, both at their hospice in Boston Spa and in the community.

You would be forgiven for not knowing about Martin House, end of life care for your child is fortunately something that not many have to consider but should you ever be faced with such a situation, Martin House are there to help and they do make a difference.

Our family was fortunate enough to learn about the charity when we needed their specialist support and we were overwhelmed with the sincerity and empathy each member of their amazing care team had, not just for us but the many other families under their care at the time.

Martin House gave us a safe space to grieve and helped us on our first steps to recovery, their respite care was unlike anything I had ever experienced and every team member knew exactly what to say and when.  The team at Martin House are not just care givers, they are a family who makes you feel at home the moment you enter their hospice.

My family cannot express our thanks enough to Martin House and the friends we made there so it is with great sadness and concern to learn that they are struggling to fundraise amidst the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

As a way of offering support to Martin House, we are donating a percentage every sale of our two most popular ranges, the Best of British Wool Throw Collection and the Real Shetland Cushion range.  The actual amount for each item is as follows…

You can view the throw range here. Updated - April 2021 - Please see update note at the top of this blog post.
